We have over 200 cats in our care--mom cats with kittens, bottle babies whose mother didn't survive, abandoned cats with medical needs--and Homeless Cat Management Team and its adoption group, Pittsburgh CAT, need your help to care for them.
We are asking that all of our friends, followers and supporters consider donating $5.00--one small donation for each cat in our care would raise at least $1,000! And we have a generous donor who will match each donation up to the first $500, so the first donors double their gift!
While we protect our volunteers, fosters, veterinarians and the public with precautions for exposure to COVID-19, and preserve resources for critically ill animals and humans, we have few options for raising funds to cover costs for these abandoned and forgotten cats and kittens. And with the pause in spay/neuter surgeries there will be a huge influx in the number of kittens needing help all through the coming months. We need to keep our organizations functioning and our staff and volunteers safe so that we are healthy and ready to go when the pandemic is over and we hit the streets to catch up with all the cats and kittens that need our help.
Our goal is to raise funds through the shutdown so we have them on hand when we can restart regular high-volume clinics and provide urgent care/assistance for those in need in the meantime.
